Bloom

Emotional highs and lows

Unpredictable, like

assuming which way the wind blows

Fits and phases

When all of a sudden you explode

Over and over, "I''m Sorry"

No amount of apology can replace the bitterness and cold

As the resentment grows

As if I never paid you, what you thought I owe

As if every opinion you had, I opposed

As if the hand I held was only ever worth a fold

Feeling the need to tip-toe

The water I'm swimming in becomes shallow

The question arises:

Would I be better off alone?

Realizing

What a poor, pathetic excuse for a connection

I no longer need your negative attention

Flowering

I can out grow

Finally letting the vines flourish and unfold

I can let go

I CAN LET GO
