Blooming
It’s waking up every morning knowing exactly who I am
It’s loving myself, appreciating myself, and being dependent on me
While also choosing you, appreciating you, and hoping we choose each other.
It’s being in love with life, the way the flowers bloom, noticing the small aspects of even the most trivial of things
While being in love with you, the way you bloom, noticing the small aspects of your smile, and not letting even the most trivial of things, push us apart.
It’s the arguments, the silence we share that only cements the love we have for each other
Enjoying the fact that we’re in each others company
It’s the communication, voicing how arguing made us feel
While we grab the tools to repair the problems
How you let me sing loudly to the clouds with only the angels echoing my voice
And how you decide to join with them
How you have a secret collection of old Folk songs; yet you have showed me your favorite album
And how I made you a mix tape singing the entire album
It’s waking up every morning knowing exactly who we are
It’s waking up every morning loving who we are.
