Blooming
A flower growing,
Surrounded by knowledge.
Its petals unseen.
Cloaked in darkness.
Once alone.
Until a door was opened.
A light shown.
Shadows were cast.
They stomped around.
Destroying everything,
In their path.
Uncaring 'til the end.
A shadow came across,
The flower.
Ready to destroy it,
To end its beauty.
Another shadow is cast,
Across the flower.
The second stops the first,
Only to dig her up.
The man takes the flower,
To a better place.
Outside,
The flower is bathed in light.
Her petals radiate color,
In this dark world.
The shadows withdraw,
Only to crowd her.
One by one they touch,
Her petals.
One by one they,
Themselves have color.
The shadows become,
Man.
The darkness turns,
Light.
