Blossom

Gone away,
Into distant space
Far from home,
To a new place.
Thoughts, actions, emotions
The happiness I feel,
Could not fill oceans.

Started as a seed,
Began to grow,
Treated as a weed.
It was hard to glow,
When you're left to bleed.

I've been given water,
To bestow new life.
No longer numb,
And no more strife.
I am not dumb,
No thorns like a knife.

This flower will bloom,
Beautiful like the stars.
Once felt impending doom,
From all the scars,
Now free from this tomb.
