A Blossoming Dragon

Caught up in a world of appearances

A dizzying chaos of hair, teeth, and legs

All shiny, smooth and not taking chances

Outside that perfect model – but who begs?

Who implores? Do you hear that little voice?

A blossoming dragon wants to be free

She screams “don’t conform to the norm” – have choice!

Beat back the toxic desires to just be

A copy of Seventeen Magazine

Indulge in showing an unfiltered you

There’s no competition, you are your own queen

Listen to that voice raging inside you!

I took a chance to break out of chaos

I am who I am. I’m enough, no loss.
