Blossoms

They say “find your meaning” “search for purpose and truth.” I say we were born knowing, we were given our purpose and our meaning. Mine was wrapped in the oceans mystery, bundled with the wonder of the stars, taped carefully with the joy of a new day; The promise of new love. Taped and tied with a bow of innocence. But I grew up, I lost wonder and hope. Mud and much covered my imagination, layer by layer I lost faith in the infinity of the future. The world spun and fell madly on innocent and faithful shoulders. Judgment carefully placed a distorted ugly mask on my joy. Life knocked and I chose not to answer, fear built up mud walls and I dug a moat around my heart and my mind. My petals, that used to be full of life and curiosity, I colored them with clear fear, transparency. I made my veins invisible to the world and the human eye, so promise could be forgotten. No more feeling, no more tears. Innocence became raw and soon disappeared. Neglected beauty cannot flourish. Lost faith and forgotten innocence cannot bloom. But the first embrace of a betraying lover, the memory of an infinite moment, they all become fresh spring water to feed and nourish my leaves. I begin to ground myself with rainbow roots and braches begin to grow out into new found beauty. I remember, and will never forget; Liberation in chaos, magic in the nothing. My voice radiates through me, truth in silence.
