Blue
You stand there tall and proud,
The setting red sun throws shadows on your face
And you hold your head high.
Your heart is grounded, guarded.
The world has thrown its worst at you, but you have stayed strong and made it through every storm, even when they said you couldn't.
You relished the challenge.
The worn leather coat has become your armor
While you longingly remember a simpler time,
A colorful collection of carefree memories.
You have learned that happiness, heartache, and joy go hand in hand.
Your journey is still not finished, like a half-written song.
It is long from finished
The blue horizon beckons and you answer
