why

must

you

lie.

i know

the truth may be a fragile thing

with wings like a butterfly and thoughts like feathers that land oh so soft on your face

until

it

digs

deep

burrowing underneath your flesh and into your soul

delivering blows that crack it just a bit more

the way that only truth can

but blue is only a feeling
