Blue

Everything in this world is washed over

The stars have trickled from the sky

It’s broken open, black and blue

And so I think you’ll be with me forever

The sky is too close to my head now

It seeps into my ears and eyes and blinds me

I can close my eyes and see you still

And when I’m wide awake, you’re here

At night when it drops through the cracks in my ceiling

I catch it in my palm and drink it with my mouth

When daylight comes I’m soaked in ink and sweat

And so I think you’ll be with me forever
