Blue
Blue was her favorite color,
the calming shade of blue that painted the ocean so beautiful.
The color of his eyes, blue,
more soothing and mesmerizing than any sea,
and so she fell in a love,
deeper than any sea.
A love that slowly awakened a monster,
a monster with blue eyes,
more violent and deadly as any storm.
The ocean raged with crashing waves,
engulfing her with its power,
leaving her painted in her favorite color.
Blue.
Blue, mixed with shades of black,
blue, mixed with hues of red and tints of purple.
A love that left her weak,
but finally understanding why storms
are named after people.
