Blue

It is the color of the ocean as we walk the beach hand in hand and as he lifts me up and twirls me around,my world constricts to that single moment of eternal happiness- me and him It is the color of his shirt as he comforts me and lets me know that he will never leave me alone, even if everyone else does. It is the sound of his voice as we lay under the tree with Love and War carved into the trunk - a pairing of words that will never have the same meaning for anyone else that they do for us- and he talks of the future he builds for us in his head. It is the color of his eyes as he gets down on one knee and utters those fateful words " Will you marry me?" and I know I am everything he ever wanted And it is the color of my tears as I say I do and our lips collect
