Blue

A dark, weeping dirge,

Like sad angels.

Crystal sounds of melancholy

Fill the air,

Not loud or tempestuous,

Only needing and pleading.

Blue faerie in the blue swamp,

Blue night, blue air, blue trees, blue moon.

White tears down her white face.

Her dark hair almost looks blue.

And her heart will not mend

And if she stops singing now, she will never sing again.
