Blue Diamonds...
Through these pleasant shores I saw,
Through these travelling boats I dreamt,
And just as these silent streams of water moved about,
I looked upon these waters...
As I saw the ripples travel through,
Till the end,
They showed me the innocence within,
They had many stories to tell,
With each wave of water,
Moving so gently across...
Yet within its depth,
It hosted the many sorrows of the past,
Bodies buried beneath it,
Ships wrecked within it,
Man's treasures and luxuries all lost,
All those memories deep within this ocean,
And through those waves that rose to engulf...
These waters revealed their peaceful ways,
Their ways to resist and resent,
Yet as they tolerate,
Our wastes, black and gray smokes,
All polluted and contaminated the very heart of this blue and cold pearl...
Yet we never saw,
They bleeded blue,
These cries of the oceans,
Ran through these puny settlements of man,
With winds at the heights of pain,
Tore down all of man's gain,
For man is insane,
Wandering these deep blue oceans,
Trying to tame...
So as I sit across the shores of the oceans,
I see as they divide into banks and branches,
Forming a delta,
The rivers just like overflowing fountains,
Bursting through the grace of the mountains...
And then these drops of dew reveal our true fate,
With soil as hard as rock,
Water as scarce as mirage,
Land as barren as air,
Craters as deep as oceans,
Grew across like curtains on my eyes,
Just as clouds cover the violet skies...
So as i wake from my slumber,
In agony,
I ask thee,
Why do we taunt these blue diamonds?
