Blue Eyes

my Chocolate Lime eyes

are no match

for your piercing Blue ones

when they look into me

i can't see into them

i can hardly look at them

for their presence overwhelms me

i hate that.

i had myself convinced

that i hated your endless Eyes and

that i hated you

because i could no longer reach you,

since last spring

but when i saw you again

in some form,

in a picture of the past,

i realized that i had been Fooling myself

and now once more my heart Hurts

with the pain of impossibility.
