Blue False Indigo
Linked to rot a subtle poison
Yet pretty an elaborate disguise
A mask of colors some forget
You hide what you are from man
You’re tricky and hard to handle
Falsely likened to the color indigo
A shade between like indigo
You promise life but poison
With that which none can handle
A primal urge triggered by disguise
You use a tactic that would work on any man
And those not fooled can still forget
But I am stronger and cannot forget
How my friend’s face turned the color indigo
He was so young not yet a man
But you were merciless with your poison
Just like so many he was fooled by disguise
He got a drive he could not handle
And so he let go and you grabbed that handle
Leading him to in an instant forget
That which he knew about your disguise
So you pulled out a flower, indigo
The one that held your poison
And held it up just like to any other man
And in that moment fear set in he was not a man
Caught in a gasping battle he could not handle
For his body was wrought with poison
It made a scene I can’t forget
As he turned that shade of indigo
You made off to fool another with your disguise
You were lost to the crowd from your disguise
To go and trick another man
And make them touch the indigo
Launch them into that which they can’t handle
With beauty make them forget
All they know and fall victim to poison
But tis I who wins with poison, for I built a disguise
And played upon what you forget, and played you like that man
That one which you hath tried to handle, but killed with fatal indigo
