Blue Me

Once upon a time, there was a blue me

She who wouldn’t need me today

And she who would let everything be

She pushed everyone away but wondered why she was left at bay

She thought if only she had a key

She would reach them day by day

But she didn’t even see that if only she were me

She would continue to be just a blue me

She thought the world was unfair

That she was the only victim in this affair

But how can it be when her ears were never there

As blue as she is, she shut down

And all she got was a frown

Her heart was in unmistakable pain

So she took actions to her vein

She was too blue for me

I fear blue me who lost so much time

Thinking she was only worth a dime

When in reality, I am priceless

while she was just faithless

How can I be proud of blue me

When she was such a mess to me

But how can I not be proud of blue me

When she has come to be me

Blue me was me

She didn’t give in to the whispers of pain

She overcame the showers of rain

And she came out stronger than the rest of me

So, yes, I fear blue me

But I don’t fear the new me learning from blue me

Remember the lessons taken from blue me

Because blue me is me
