The Blue Moon Nights
I miss you, not the relationship or the weird or the fighting. Just the conversations about whatever comes to mind, and not worrying that it was the middle of the night and we both had to face the world the next day because the night felt infinite. Because we were kids and the thought of the sound of your laugh made me laugh harder, the thought of getting to make you smile made my thoughts go crazy racing to find something else to say that might make you happy. I miss not thinking about every single thing before saying it, because I never really wanted tomorrow to come so I didn’t have to think about what was next. I miss silly arguments because it was a dumb question I knew would make you crazy. I do miss you, I miss the vibes, your personality and texting until sleep finally caught up and I kept sending anything to keep myself up for a few more minutes. But I fucked up, like I always did.
