blue moon rising

Location

numbness is what I feel most

when I am alone.

tears rarely streak

across the flecked cream of my shell in solitude

all the while

waves are crashing indoors—

Yet, when I see the words dance from your tongue,

the fire sprout from that emerald darkness of your looking glass,

I feel I am at my most vulnerable point.

you can do most anything you set your mind to

when I can be found in this land called

Naïveté

shouting from the depths,

through the ceaseless vines

and scarlet rivers wide,

my heart cries out

for you to hold.

Forgiveness.

Acceptance.

Tenderness.

and when the blue moon rises

and we bow to the gods

She sings to you:

please

please

find your way back

Home.
