The Blue Rose

The pen to the paper

Writing of the new and the old

The blue rose floods my mind

As my story begins to unfold

Another red rose has died

So I fade into my happy place

A field of flowers

Yet only I can see its face

It has taken control

The blue rose started my obsession

There’s no going back

This is why I’m writing my confessions

I know everything I need to know

There’s nothing you can hide

To you I’m invisible

But I can’t seem to get you out my mind

I know I can take good care of you

My brilliant beautiful blue rose

I want to be your dream girl

I’m only telling you want my heart knows

Noble Birth

I have recently fallen in love with poetry. It has given me a way to tell others how I feel without telling them everything, leaving room for imagination. I have a special bond with the environment so most of my poems will use plants and animals as metaphors and similes.
