Blue Rubber Boots

When the man

In the blue rubber boots

And the green ratty coat

And the scar on his face

Comes down the sidewalk

Birds scatter

Kids squeal and run

Adults frown

Dogs whimper

And the man

In the blue rubber boots

And the green ratty coat

And the scar on his face

With the knife in his pocket

Smiles.
