Blue Skies

You, you're like the sun.

You shine your light down on everyone.

But me?

I'm like a cloud that covers your light.

I rain my tears on the person that loves me most.

And I've been crying,

Yes, crying,

To a person and flooding them

and overwhelming them with

My tears.

And since I am like a cloud,

I know that someday-

I'll run out of hydration-

Which acts like a battery pack to my tears,

and I will disappear.

I'll no longer be a cloud.

I'll be the whole damn blue sky.
