Bluebeard

Who remembers Sir Bluebeard

When thinking or fairy tales

They turn to something that’s nicer

Like the mermaid who lost all her scales

But what if that lord wasn’t evil

What if he didn’t murder his wives?

That young girl and him

Would have led such different lives

The young wife never married

O’ Bluebeard living in wealth

No one ever knowing

His lack of mental health

And that poor bluebeard’s wife

not married and not rich

Would have lived with her parents

Life gone on without a hitch
