Bluebird

you have shaped heaven on earth

ith very sacrfice is rebirth

and in every morning

wakes the sun

in every dew drop falls my tear

until I wake to smell the gift of fresh air

and hear the bluebird chirp

in harmonious rhythm of unknown things

outside, I hear it worshiping, waking

it drives my head out of my own dreams

those mares that live in my mind while I sleep

the ones that keep me tossing, turning

it is the sorrow that keeps me wake

I sleep in residue of past due dreams

the ones that were real once, yet swept away quickly

in different directions flowed

like miniature breakaway streams

I fidfact man nothing and emotion only rides

but his Holy Spirit guides

Dear God,

you have shaped heaven on earth

with every heartache there is rebirth

and in every nightsleep rises the sun

I must stay faithful and strong

like your son

that each time I go to bed

I will wake fresh, cleansed

listening to the bluebird chirp

singling of the almighty God

flying over green rolling hills

and of much purpose soon to be found

of this crazy life fulfilled
