Bluebird, Bluebird

Flutter, flutter

Chip and chrip

Soaring, diving, twirling forth

Seeing eye to eye

As you travel on the wing

See the shift of the current

See the shift in the world

Twirling above it all

Yet still ending in the dirt

Wonder and awe

Living and breathing

Just hearing your heart beating

Why is it so easy?

Why are you so lively?

Who are you truly?

More than you seem

Yet exposed in the way you dance

In your blue feather dress

Red painted on your chest

As if your heart had burst

And yet so carefree, it seems like a test

To stare and watch you sing

To see you fly by with the wind

To stare me down, just to show that you see me too

Then softly singing once you see no threat

Your little form flittering along

Just to show that you can

Strange little thing

Wonderful little flyer

Please contuine to enjoy your time

And I will contuine on by.
