Blunts and Bottles
His past is dark, so is his mind.
All he wants is to leave it all behind.
At times he can no longer handle it.
To keep memories away, he takes a hit.
He takes a bottle and drinks it all.
Now his memories he cannot recall.
He's gone for the night.
He has won the fight.
But only for a moment.
He can't move on so he tries to forget.
He knows that he cannot keep doing this,
Even as he puts the joint to his lips.
He has no other way,
These memories won't go away.
He tries to lock them deep in his mind,
But they find their way out everytime.
Maybe someday they will go away.
Or maybe they will always stay.
But for now, he'll try to forget.
With his blunts and bottes, he's all set.
