Blurring Resolution
Swimming in a sea of grey…
Looking for a face to recognize-
I look and then look away
From eternity in your eyes…
Drowning in the growing crowd,
Watching darkness swirling in the drain-
The noise is blaring too loud-
For me to feel the throbbing pain…
Dimming noise recalls the ache…
Outstretching emptiness in offered hand…
Line blurring between real and fake-
As I try to understand.
Teetering between love and fear-
Screaming silently into the void…
Thoughts merge into a single tear,
And quiet becomes a ringing noise.
Searching for resolution-
Finding there is none that can be found,
Yet in creation’s revolution-
I learn that silence is a sound…
