Blutegel
No one realizes and no one wonders.
Screams are drowned out by the sound of thunder.
He walks among us as a normal being,
But seeing his true nature would send you fleeing.
Beware of when there is a New Moon.
He prowls in the nighttime like a raccoon,
For in the phase when the moon is dark,
He sets out to leave more than a mark.
In the moonlight, he grows hundreds of teeth
And his mouth forms into the shape of a wreath.
Fearful people run, hide, and cry
Because they know the victims always die.
He'll suck their blood until there is no more
And their lifeless corpse soon hits the floor.
Whatever you do, don't come within reach
Of the creature known to be half man, half leech.
