Boasting EMB

My noble name          is Emily Brooks

Babe was bread from     now broken bonds

Young love left liaison     to a child

The surname speaks     of settling grounds

By brook-side ye blood     made their base

Traveled and toiled     to make their stay

Teaching courage to come     when contemplation is crushing

Once lonely now surrounded      by lasting love

Father fancied unfamiliar     land fleeing faraway

Being bold by boasting     before my peers

No broods have I beat     only monsters of mentality

Little learned lass     keen in knowledge

Sociable sometimes senseless     silly, always sportive

Future feats entail foreign work     finding fireside not near home

Mission minded is this young miss     mighty is her Master

Pressing toward prestigious promises     paying prices to see redemption

Ending secondary education     exceeding everlasting expectation
