The Boat
A boat sailed into the ocean
upon waves of the unknown,
when formed dark and gloomy clouds,
and the boat was all alone.
The boat began to rock,
and the wind battered its sail.
The thunder boomed and roared,
but the boat refused to fail.
The rain poured fast and hard,
and the fog was thick and dense,
but the boat held to its anchor,
it was the boat’s one defense.
The storm was loud and strong,
and the wind whistled on.
The boat kept on rocking,
just waiting for the dawn.
The rain didn’t last forever,
and the fog did surely lift.
The sun smiled upon the boat again,
because the boat refused to drift.
