Bobbie tae Rabbie

It's Rabbie Burns, it's all his fault,
He's responsible for this,
With works like "Shanter" and "To a Mouse",
And a song called "Ae Fond Kiss",

He's Scotland's own, our finest,
A poet don't you know,
And now it's time to rhyme with us,
To let "Uisge Beatha" flow,

Burns night comes, aye, once a year,
And out we go to play,
To honour our most famous son,
On this, our Bards birthday,

So raise a glass, some may raise two,
And toast the night both ends,
My words tonight, as always,
A toast "Tae Absent Friends"
