To Conquer: To acquire by force
Within side me I understand that I am strong
For with strength
And God on my side
I can, and
I shall
Overcome.

I understand the road is tough and hard to plow
I will carry on,
Dig deep down,
And look forward
To devour
And destroy
The enemies
Around.

I hold my head strong with might
For in sight,
I can see what will be the finish line
To my fight.

With weary hands that hold no more
The brain and soul
Are not capable
To know
What God
Has in store.

For weary feet that have danced
Beat on beat on beat
And are now
Beat
Down.
The legs dance on
Looking,
Searching,
Hoping,
That they are found.

The back
The achy, achy, back
That has carried many burdens
Is now
Admitting
That it is
Hurtin’.
Pride has collapsed
Envy has depressed
And the JOY
ODE TO JOY
Has elevated.

My heart is open wide,
WIDE
As the red sea that Moses parted
My heart is waiting,
Waiting
To be granted the passage way
Into the Promise Land
That the Israelites started.

Conquered
From within
I have been.
From the roots of my hair
To the souls of my feet
I am conquered
I am Strong
Inspired
And, Ready
For the conquering of
With in.
