Body Mass Index

Dear Body,

I've tried everything to get you to change.

I've, beat up, cut, stab, bruised, burned, dieted, waist trained,

Even starved you

But you persited

You prove yourself to be strong at my weakest points

You fight off illness even when I beg to stay sick

You protect my mind, and my heart ‘

You hold my thoughts, feelings, and emotions

You can feel like a prison at times

My skin feeling too tight making me feel trapped

In the worse way

Other times you feel like paradise

You give

When I take

When I abuse

You stay

You persist

My body

My sweet, dear body

Love,

Me
