Bombshell
Your face, so gentle and clear
With your piercing eyes of blue
Alas, you are not here
That lovably arrogant sneer
Which only your smile could outdo
Your face, so brilliant and clear
Too hard to suppress my fear
Of the darkness I face without you
Alas, you cannot be here
An unrevealing tear
How will I ever get through?
Your face, so impassive and clear
Were you always this insincere?
There is nothing I can do…
For alas, you refuse to be here
I feel struck, as if with a spear
Your heartlessness gives me a clue
Your face, so cold and unclear
Alas, you will never be here.
