A Bond Bent, Not Broken

We look so happy and carefree

Nothing to figure out

Everything seemed so easy

But getting older gets in the way

It is a part of life

It's something we can't change

Paving our own paths to success

No time to talk or spend together

Hectic lives and too much stress

We've been through a lot together

More than we care to remember

All moving in different directions

Looking out for ourselves

Now being our own protection

Behind those smiles that shine bright

We realized a bond was bent

A bond that use to be so tight

We might not be close like we use to be

At times lost in our own transitions

But we'll always be family
