Bonds of Glue

My family I packed Into an envelope Mailed it North No stamp, no note Alone I sat At home all day The house so silent The cat at bay I dreamed of more Walking I looked The stones secure Nothing but books I placed myself Into a boat Sailed South to buy A brand new cloak The cloak I kept My heart I lost Alone I saw My soul dissolved My family I packed Into my room I locked the door Mine forever- don't move! Without the love Such faces bring My boat doth swing Nothing to bring Never shall I Mail them again With them I am A better man Thus here I go Into this world But family's love Is loved secured Never forget The faces who Like silent wind Knit bonds of glue
