The Book

Ashes to ashes and dust to dust

Destruction is the product of lust

a gust of wind breaks through the consciousness of men

crashing  their mental fortresses

trojan horses gallop across barren fields

vengeful choruses breath fire and wield

broken glass

ramming them into wooden masts

water floods mountain tops

shots ring out from crooked cops

cots reserved for deserving criminals

cages conserved for dangerous animals

cannibals celebrating, dancing around the fire

consuming the stars, eating Mars, devouring the solar system entire

its a contest for conquest until Cardiac arrest

we search for the meaning of life through computer coding until they hit refresh

invest in the future for the past smeared across the chalkboard

trying to erase aspects of the human mind, watch the time expire, another fallen empire is tossed into the chasms of the ages

while the sons of Monarchs are exiled from ballparks, expelled by righteous sages

Pages of history book restored

the final battle is written and recorded

at the edge of the universe, hear the gods converse

saying we have ignored it…
