The Book

Tue, 01/09/2018 - 03:20 -- Hulk

I
Her bright blue eyes glow,
While her short blonde hair
Blew in her face like a curtain
For a show.
II.
She was small for her age,
Tiny and slim.
Not too slim.
Not too tiny, but just enough.
III
Her friends might describe her
As a friendly woman, who
Has a face as chipper as a bird.
IV
She reads more than asked,
More than the average teenager.
Sometimes, the book
Consumes her into the world of adventure.
V
There are moments
When she reveals her feelings,
Like a clear painted canvas.
She was the book who revealed
Everything.
VI
Those other quiet moments
Weren't as clear.
A face of cloudy skies,
Or a blank page
Where the pencil lay,
Unmoving.
VII
She may be literate,
But she doesn't have perfect English.
VIII
Her mother might say
Stubborn,
Like that blossom that wouldn't bloom.
IX
Although a little slow,
She is hard-working and bright.
X
She takes children, adolescents, and adults,
And helps being a selfless,
Caring person pouring her heart out.
XI
Like any soul in the world,
She has her one characteristic
That glows brighter than others.
XII
There are those humans in need
Of something big or small.
Those necessities that are different,
That are unique within themselves.
XIII
This young lady helps those in need,
But she won't give all the answers.
She will help and care and love,
Using her wisdom and sunlight
To spread goodness and happiness.
