The Book Brick Road

The pages ripple and the corners fold

I travel east and west, grow young and old

I take one form, no not quite right, another

This one suits

The words breathe life into me

I bring its story to life

I constantly feed a frenzy of curiosity

One page, another

A brave girl begins

She watches the world

She sees the struggling

She understands the underrepresented

She stands

The pages are her's alone to conquer

Misfortune must be fought

Rights are reinforced

Courage takes down the corrupt

I read into the dying light

Catching a last glimpse of my heroine

Knowing this one suits

And just because I'm on some other land

I will not fail to fight like my ficticious females
