The mocking mystery, the subtle secrets, 

The joy of uncovering the layers of a book. 

The intricate inhabitants, colorful creatures, 

All are found in the windings of a book. 

Elves goblins and orcs, warriors, men 

Battle for power in the realm of a book. 

Lords ladies and kings, outlaws, thieves 

Plot treason within the caves of a book. 

The nightmarish dreams, the cowering nights 

Inspired by horrors described in a book. 

But also the joy, the soaring elation, 

Is brought into being because of a book.
