Books
Borders closed down.
My one safe haven, home away from home, cave and heaven was taken away.
Where imagination bloomed from all over the room, with pages and pages of words created by the mind of its beholder. Where I found my love for literature. Where I read junie b jones, collected the box car children and discovered advenntures outside of my small town of Hayward.
I found the smell of borders, the feeling of being surrounded by many friendly faces of sad poets, hopeless romantics and a wizard with a wand a place like no other. A feeling so undescribable, I bet a book was written about it,
Now all that was ripped away when Borders became bankrupt and became a furniture store.
Barnes and Nobles was a 40 minute drive. All I had left was a library. A small town library, where I had read most of all the books that interested me.
I was left empty, as if Borders left me, as if Borders was a person who broke up with me.
And now? Now I have a dream. A dream that one day I can open up my small book shop, for that little girl inside of me who longed for another Borders. Who longed to read endlessly on end about Harry Potter, Fudge and Peter and even the snoop Nancy Drew.
One day I will have a shop where someone will stumble upon their love to read, a love for knowledge.
One day I will be the answer to my prayers for everyone to find the love to read.
