Boom

Boom goes the reporter on world news

Another city down, a million lives gone

Boom goes my heart on the couch

Another cup of coffee down, 4 to go

Boom goes the car right into another

Another accident, another traffic jam

I can’t wait to be home

Boom goes the reporter on national news

This time it’s here, not over there

Boom goes my mind spinning away

Now it matters, but who will care?

Boom goes the world in this cyclical way

Too bad there is only one world, one human race

I can’t live without knowing peace is near

Boom goes every nation’s leader

For it’s the loudest cheer when

Peace gets the last Boom.

It's finally here

Boom goes the world

united as one.
