Boone

1. the day we met.

an image of us walking away from eachother

covered up the soul in those eyes.

2. when we let ourselves go.

opposite ends, the couch chose for us. you pulled me in

so fast a tornado would be jealous.

3. pineapple.

there should have been safety in the word, yet fantasy

collided with reality and we both fell apart.

4. there are things we dont remember.

except those conversations and the music

that beckons us to be ourselves.

5. how the hell did we get HERE.

more importantly,

how do we allow ourselves to stay.
