Boredom

At the end of excitement, there lies a trap

One of which we all fall for

I can’t resist it

It’s pulling me in

Boredom creeps in from the depths of my soul

Takes hold of me and drags me under

It’s freezing

Devoid of joy

My mind starts to wander

The matters of which I don’t care to discus

Each thought weighs heavy on my mind

Heavier on my heart

 I hit rock bottom

I contemplate things

Unspeakable things

Things I would be condemned for

Then excitement comes back

I feel its warm embrace

It comforts me

Until the vicious cycle repeats itself

And boredom’s cold, unfeeling touch reals me back in
