The Boring and the Nameless
Let loose the dogs
let loose the birds
let loose the lions
tamed
let loose the parakeets
and monkeys flying with wings chained
release the kraken
jaws unhinged
murdering galore
but when the kitten stays inside
can one say nothing more?
So drab is the life of solitude
so drab the life of pain
the paint peels off the walls
dreary
wheels upon a train
slime filled minds are wrought with scum
and grime
inside their petty time
the clock ticks by
and nothing's real
and nothing is to gain.
Boring becomes nameless
and pointless becomes dry
life is death and
death is life
and dream is sleep and
sleep is dream
and sleep is breathe
and breathe is sleep
but maybe on another day
freedom will prevail.
but only when dropped is the veil
upon cold and lifeless
wasted face
crushed dreams
lost hopes
murmurs in a distant echo
into the void
into the abyss
and no one will remember
anyways.
So boring becomes nameless
pains upon names upon games
but no gains amongst the solitude
so kittens are to blame
