Born To Be

As a kid, I didn't think much of anything

I didn't think about the day of having to spread my wings

I didn't think about what would happen in the future,

and I for sure didn't think of who I was born to be.

As a teen, I just thought about how the next day of high school was going to go

I just thought about the fun I'll have with my friends, although,

I thought little about the stressful school work I had,

and I most certainly didn't think my "friends" would turn out bad

I started to think of who I was born to be

As of now, I think of how far I've come in life

I think of all that I have accomplished

I think of who I am,

a friend, a daughter, a sister, family, a cat mom, an artist, and an animator

I've still got a little way to go before I become the person I know I was born to be.
