Born of a Dream

What if all we are,

Is the product of a dream?

Some slumbering mind ranging far,

Projecting us from the stream,

Of thought and delight

As it passes through the night?

Are we shadows or ghosts,

That disappear at wakening?

Or do we continue without hosts,

And come into quickening?
