Born A Poet

I use to have a light shinning upon me. Although, within time my light grew dim and one day it blew out. The day when darkness crept over my shoulder, and malted into my shawdow. That very moment in time was when I was born a poet.  Out of all the stickyness and mess in my life. I was able to rise from it all with paper and a pen.  As each word was written on my paper.  I became stronger and invensible against the darkness.  Soon I was purging out my words, and benging on the motivation that prused my passion for poetry. I used my poetry to escape from the debbie- downers, and bullies of the world. The ones that told me I couldn't overcome my sickness, or the ones that said I'll become just like my anorexic Mother. I write to them all. Proving that I am build on passion, and I will continue to grow. I will not confined to what people say I can or can not be. With my poetry I can overcome it all, even my own shawdows which lurked in the back of my mind. Shawdows which seemed so small but screamed in  my ear everyday. It's overwhelming voice, repetly telling me, I am not good enough. That intime I will consume the negativity, and drop dead with my skeleton. Stop! I would shout. In those moments. When the voice was louder than my beating heart. I stoped trying to run away from my shawdows. I stoped feeding on the negativity. As I feed myself with hope and postivity.  I got out my paper and pen. As each word appeared on my paper I started to feel warmth beaming inside me. Not only did I became alive and hopefull. I relaize it was now time to stand up and speak out my poems. As I stood there facing my shawdows. Reading each poem I wrote for them and myself. Telling the people that were the debbie- downers, that I am here to stand my ground. Letting the bullies know that my ground is firm and it can not be shaken. At that moment my words became more than ink on paper. My words became my script for expressing myself to the world. As I stood up for myself, and stood up to the bullies. I found that the more I express my poetry to the world. The darkness grew smaller, and a new light appeared.
