BORN INTO SIN
i started from a seed
was cared for tenderly, it was a garden
the brother of eden it was Antonio
and deep into these roots i felt the warmth
of my mother's green thumb sliding on the leaves
that had begun to grow on me nature told
her watering is all you need, feed this seed
and in time i'll meet your mean see she saw
her plantations grow deep into this garden...
but with a young mind she had the dirt money
engraved inbetween her fingers, she smiled
and i smiled back...i was growing, was about to make my
mark on this here's earth when my grandfather then
stumbled out with glass eyes like amber my mother
yelled GROW FASTER DEAR
i can hear her screaming in
my ear, i couldn't I am a root but she placed me by the fruit of
her knowledge, the knowledge God
gave her...just why did he
have to give it to her at such a young age when she was
already delicate cuz just then
with my grandfather's hands he
created a river of alcohol
a love of waterfalls ballin over my bare face the label of this
drank called SIN drowned me satan
took over his body i can
feel um breathin underneath the splinters of his tounge
each drop of blood drained the gut
of his grandchildren's children
and forever would we learn in sin from the force of this curse that
I live in and my mother she would hate
to admit that her own
kin would eventually grow in this world as red bulging thorns
i guess I have his hands too cuz I could
also feel um growin out of my
fingertips and there's no escape from it,
from the agitating
of making mistakes from falling into um
reminds me of my grandpa
and i would hate to think that i was in infant
intoxicated at birth, but...try to understand
that I wasn't born a sinna...unfortunately I was born into sin...
