borne
Borne by the breeze into Autumn's sweet kiss-
Out of the heat of Summer's gone bliss,
The bluster and blister of love gone awry-
The cool, gentle Autumn bids you rest by her side
She expects nought but amity
The touch of a hand
For only a moment forget
Distant lands
Troy could not find as fair a maid,
Her expression firm, eyes with mercy laid
With nurturing caresses she traces lined cares,
Wiping away sobbing tears with a prayer
That she whispers on lips
Full and ripe
Like the harvest that readily waits for its time
Her arms reach out to save and to hold
Fingertips erase scars with the warmth of their hold
Winter will come, soon but not late
For now just follow Fall's smooth steady gait
