Bottled Up Inside

I should send a message in a bottle At least it'd be a part of me All my feelings trapped inside Slowly float away Washing up on lonely islands I doubt you're looking for me I wait and wait all alone Til you decide to change Too afraid to open up I can't close once you've shattered me This glass is thick, babe But you make me crack Under pressure And when the waves are too high to swim I reach up for your hand Only to use my final breath to see you push me under And act like you'll teach me how to swim Guess I gotta flow with this current Cant choose my path for myself Being tossed around like trash Waiting to decay This stuff inside becomes ruin Unable to be read Then more and more I'm alone Til you decide to return Too afraid to open up I can't close once you've shattered me This glass is thick, babe But you make me crack Under pressure And when the waves are too high to swim I reach up for your hand Only to use my final breath to see you push me under And act like you'll teach me how to swim The more I live the more it leaks The water, the torture The damage, the tears Losing you still my biggest fear But when you throw my bottled up feelings back into my face It becomes hard to recognize the place where I began And even who I am Too afraid to open up I can't close once you've shattered me This glass is thick, babe But you make me crack Under pressure And when the waves are too high to swim I reach up for your hand Only to use my final breath to see you push me under And act like you'll teach me how to swim And as I'm sinking down I still can't help but hope that your arm reaches down Don't let me drown Wrap me, embrace, smile on your face, realize what you've done But I feel like I'm the one who's all messed up within As I sit at the bottom of the ocean Baby I'm fadin Hold my feelings in the bottle They're a part of me Read the heart inside Wanting to be held Only wanting your comfort Only wishing for your time Look for me amidst this treacherous maze of emotion I will wait long and long To even feel pain as long as it's from you So don't throw me out or sweep my sand under the rug When all I want is you and for me to be all you want

I'm a clueless, gullible movie lover, excited to go into studying elementary education and Spanish. Catch me listening to Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift or overthinking practically everything that happens to me. Happily in a relationship with my great boyfriend and awesome God.
